A very special document is currently on display at the Old State Capitol and will be there through July. A signed copy of the Louisiana Purchase is on loan to our state.

There are plenty of other activities to do in Baton Rouge, especially downtown. A few nearby places to visit are USSKid & Naval Museum, City Center, Louisiana State Museum, and Magnolia Mound Plantation. And a quick trip down River Road will take you to LSU to see the beautiful campus and Mike the Tiger!

Downtown is full of restaurants, and you can enjoy a walk along the levee to view the river. Tsunami is a great sushi location, Cecelia is delicious Creole food, Little Village for Italian, Capitol City Grille for a little of everything- you will not have to go far to find great food in Baton Rouge.
