A very special document is currently on display at the Old State Capitol and will be there through July. A few nearby places to visit are USSKid &amp; Naval Museum, City Center, Louisiana State Museum, and Magnolia Mound Plantation. And a quick trip down River Road will take you to LSU to see the beautiful campus and Mike the Tiger! Downtown is full of restaurants, and you can enjoy a walk along the levee to view the river. Tsunami is a great sushi location, Cecelia is delicious Creole food, Little Village for Italian, Capitol City Grille for a little of everything- you will not have to go far to find great food in Baton Rouge.

Where do I park for an event at the Old State Captiol? Guest parking for the Old State Capitol is available at the Third Street Garage located on the corner of Third and Convention Streets. The page includes information about garage and surface lot parking options as well as information on the meters.

Can I bring a plus one? Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you received a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation.

Are children welcome? We all love your little ones, but to allow all guests to relax and enjoy the celebration, our ceremony and reception will be adults only. The grand staircase and space involved could make it tricky also! Thank you for understanding!

What is the attire for the evening? The dress code for the evening is semi-formal attire. Dark suits and cocktail-length dresses are appropriate. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors at the Old State Capitol.

The big day is almost here! Below are a few reminders about the ceremony and reception: The ceremony will begin at precisely 6:30 P.M. Please be seated by 6:15 P.M. A parking map/guide is under the Q &amp; A tab along with other reminders. Allow for extra time to park and to make your way to the Old State Capitol. Guests will enter through the North Road entrance; you may take the grand staircase up to the House chamber on the second floor, or there is also an elevator. The ceremony will be held in the House chamber and the reception will immediately follow in the Senate chamber and the rest of the Old State Capitol. The couple will exit at 10:30 P.M. We are so excited and cannot wait to see everyone. Once seated, please tuck your phones away to enjoy the ceremony and this special day for Laura &amp; Travis.
