Where do I park for an event at the Old State Captiol?

Guest parking for the Old State Capitol is available at the Third Street Garage located on the corner of Third and Convention Streets. Also provided is a link to the Downtown Development District's parking page here https://downtownbatonrouge.org/get-around/parking. The page includes information about garage and surface lot parking options as well as information on the meters.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you received a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation.

Are children welcome?

We all love your little ones, but to allow all guests to relax and enjoy the celebration, our ceremony and reception will be adults only. The grand staircase and space involved could make it tricky also! Thank you for understanding!

What is the attire for the evening?

The dress code for the evening is semi-formal attire. Dark suits and cocktail-length dresses are appropriate. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors at the Old State Capitol.
